Daniel P. Backus – Partner, Mellott Advisors, LLC

Dan joined Mellott & Mellott in the fall of 2017. He has over ten years experience in payroll and bookkeeping and focuses on tax compliance with tax planning for individuals and privately owned business that are complex in nature. With a diverse tax background, Dan enjoys working with clients to provide full service accounting and guiding clients on improving their records to be used proactively.

Dan was born and raised in Mt. Airy and went on to graduate from Miami University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.

Outside of work, he spends most of his time with his wife and two girls enjoying family game nights, hiking and visiting National parks. His other hobbies include coaching, obstacle coarse racing, bowling, soccer and volleyball.
